Hatch End is a railway station in Travelcard Zone 6, in the London Borough of Harrow. The station was first called Pinner on the London and Birmingham Railway and was renamed Pinner and Hatch End in 1897. It was designed by architect Gerald Horsley in 1911 and was served by the Baker Street and Waterloo Railway from 16 April 1917 until 24 September 1982. The station has two platforms: the north (lower) platform of the ticket office and food court, and the North (upper) platform of the pedestrian bridge. Another platform was closed in 1963. In the 1980s, access to the remaining platforms was renewed and fences were erected along the line to protect waiting passengers from high-speed trains. Hatch End now has London Overground services on the London Euston to Watford DC line, with a journey time of 38 minutes to Euston and 11 minutes to Watford Junction.
