Stansted's aviation history started in World War II when the Royal Air Force (RAF) utilized it as a bomber base. It was briefly put back to use in the military after the war, and then it was used for commercial flights. The UK government made the decision to turn Stansted into a significant civilian airport in 1966 in an effort to relieve traffic at other London airports, especially Heathrow and Gatwick. The airport began accepting commercial aircraft in 1969 after a terminal building was built. In the 1970s and 1980s Stansted continued to develop its infrastructure, adding a new terminal building in 1985. Following its privatization in 1986, the British Airports Authority (BAA) assumed management of several airports, including Stansted.Peliccan Cars provide the most comfortable and reliable ride from your address to Stansted Airport
